Group Exercise Classes
What is Group Ex?
Come to our Group Exercise Classes for a great work-out in a fun, social environment. All of our Group Ex Classes are non-credit and focus on conditioning, strengthening and toning the body through various degrees of intensity. Our instructors will motivate and guide you through various exercises, bringing fresh ideas and inspiration to your work-out plan. If you have never been involved with group exercises classes before, don’t be shy. Classes are geared towards all ability levels, so bring a buddy and come check it out!
Sign-Up Procedures
To get involved in Group Ex, stop by the Front Desk of the Rec Center. After signing a waiver, the Rec Center Staff will place a sticker on the back of your card authorizing you to attend.
Attendance Policies
Classes are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The first 30 people (unless otherwise specified) will receive admittance cards, so make sure you arrive early to guarantee a spot. Also, individuals wanting to attend two classes in a row must leave the room between classes and return only if spots are available in the second class. Guests visiting the Recreation Center may not attend Group Ex Classes.

ABuster
Whether you are looking to achieve those 6-pack abs before Spring Break or simply prevent low back pain, this class is for YOU!! This 30-minute workout focuses on toning and strengthening your core (abs and lower back). All fitness levels welcome, as a variety of modifications will be given!
Fitcamp
Come experience the ultimate workout with Julie’s FitCamp! Get ready to sweat, pump up your heart, and strengthen and tone your body all while having a great time! Each class will switch routines to consistently challenge your body and produce results you can see! With a combination of circuit training, weight training, running, core work, and plyometrics, this is the perfect class for men and women alike as well as beginners and advanced athletes.
Let Elizabeth teach you a hip hop dance routine step by step. Come dance your calories away to today’s most popular songs.
Just Dance
Come dance those calories away after school or work. You will be dancing to so much upbeat music, you won't even realize you are working out!
Kickboxing
Ever want to learn the proper way to kick and punch while getting an amazing cardio work out? If so, this class is for you! Let Carly get your heart pumping and those muscles working.
Rock Your Body
Rock Your Body is the perfect way to improve strength and tone muscles while burning tons of calories per class! The class starts with a warm-up and continues to include every muscle group then a cool down and stretching to finish it off. The class is set to music to keep you motivated throughout the 45-minute class. Beginners to experienced gym-
goers are welcome and EVERYONE will see results!!
X-Factor
A 30 minute class that uses high intensity cardio and weights to push you to new levels and help you see results. This cross training class is perfect for people of all levels of fitness! This class is limited to 15 participants but is offered 11 times per week, so get there early to reserve your spot!
YogaFit
YogaFit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of Hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and achievable by individuals at any level of fitness. This class is offered at multiple times, hopefully one will fit into your schedule!
