Austin Riede earned his BA and MA at The Ohio State University, and his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His teaching and research areas include twentieth-century British literature (particularly the period between the world wars), postcolonial literature, critical theory, and composition. He has published articles on the English authors Ford Madox Ford and Vera Brittain, and has an articleAustin Riede forthcoming on representations of ethnicity in the elegiac poetry of W.B. Yeats.
