GACHE panel discussion
(Oct. 18, 2011)   -   The Georgia Appalachian Center for Higher Education (GACHE) awarded grants to 27 area high schools to support efforts aimed at having students continue their education after high school. The awards were presented last month at Chattahoochee Technical College's Appalachian campus in Jasper, Ga. The event also included a panel discussion on "Moving the finish line from high school graduation to post-secondary and career success," with representatives from the realms of education, community and government from around the state. GACHE is a federally funded program through the Appalachian Regional Commission with North Georgia College & State University serving as fiscal agent.
