Make plans for a day at the ballpark - North Georgia Day at the Gwinnett Braves

(July 28, 2010) - Nothing says summer like hot dogs, barbecue and baseball, so make plans to join North Georgia College & State University at the ballpark.
Mark your calendars now for North Georgia Day at the Gwinnett Braves, set for Sunday, Aug. 29, at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. This fun, family-oriented event, sponsored by the NGCSU Foundation and the NGCSU Alumni Association, is for alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
The Gwinnett Braves, the Triple-A farm team of the Atlanta Braves, also will be celebrating "Fan Appreciation Day" that day, with lots of fun and give-aways planned.
The university's Patriot Choir will be performing the National Anthem and the Corps of Cadets' Color Guard will present the U.S. and Georgia flags prior to the game.
Come out to show your school spirit and make sure to wear your North Georgia gear.
A section of field box tickets, located on the first-base side, has been reserved at a cost of $8 per person. Seats in the stadium's Super Suite and adjoining Party Deck, located on the first-base side, are $40 per person. In addition to the game ticket, the price includes a catered lunch of hot dogs, BBQ and drinks.
The Gwinnett Braves wrap up their regular season that weekend. First pitch of the game against the Norfolk Tides is set for 2:05 p.m. The Tides are the Triple-A farm team of the Baltimore Orioles.
Gates open at 12:30 p.m. and lunch service will begin at 1 p.m. for guests with tickets in the suite and deck areas. Parking is $5 per car.
