Cadet Admissions
A unit of Enrollment Management
The moral backbone of North Georgia College is embodied by the Chaplain's Corps, trained and willing listeners and advisers embedded within every unit of the Cadet program.
As a part of the Chaplain Corps, Cadets can gain valuable experience performing similar duties to Active Army Chaplains while working with trained Chaplain and support personnel. Cadet Chaplains receive training and mentorship from Active and Retired Army Chaplains, professional councilors, and North Georgia Colleges' exceptional faculty.
Isaiah 52:7 - " How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
"Your God reigns!"
The Cadet Chaplain Corps was instituted in
the Fall of 2000 with only one brigade chaplain and has since grown to
include a minimum of one chaplain in each company, one chaplain in each
battalion, and the brigade chaplain. In 2008, the all
volunteer Boar's Head Brigade Cadet Chaplain Corps was constituted and became an official specialty unit on campus.
The Cadet Chaplain's Corps takes on the responsibility of organizing support events such as weekly Bible Studies, monthly Prayer Breakfasts, contacting guest speakers including Army Officers, professional Chaplains, POW Heroes, Athletic Coaches, and community Leaders. The Chaplain Corps is also privileged to host high school students interested in the North Georgia Corps of Cadets through the Cadet Overnight Visitation Experience program.
The motto of Chaplain Corps is:
“Faith, Truth, Service”!
