Guidance Counselors and JROTC Instructors
We're looking for your college-bound scholar/athlete/leader students or Cadets who want to commission as officers in the Army after graduating from college. Your student or Cadet must be on a college-prep curriculum, have at least a 2.8 GPA in all college-prep courses taken in high school, and have SAT scores of 440 math and 480 critical reading (or ACT math 18 and English 20). They must be in good medical and emotional condition, physically fit, and must meet the Army's height and weight requirements. Our Cadets live in contemporary Cadet residence halls, eat in modern dining facility, study in a state-of-the-art library, work out in a really nice fitness center, and participate in the best Army ROTC program in the nation: a tremendous value.

FEDERAL SERVICE FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACADEMY - a three-week summer program for your rising high school sophomores, juniors or seniors. In this three-week residential program, they learn Arabic, Chinese, Korean, German or Russian. The academy is designed for your students or Cadets who may be interested in careers as Army officers, or in federal agencies such as the State Department, FBI, CIA, etc. Click here to learn more.
GUARD AND RESERVE PROGRAM - North Georgia is the only college in the nation that has an active Guard unit drilling on campus. Your students or Cadets who participate in the program receive benefits from the Guard or Reserve including the Montgomery G.I. Bill, drill pay, and Federal Tuition Assistance (which pays up to $4,500 per year of tuition costs!). Click here to learn more about the Reserve (for out-of-state Cadets) and here for the Georgia Army National Guard (for in-state Cadets).
NURSE CADETS - We need your Cadets who are interested in becoming Army Nurses. Army ROTC is allocated 5 nursing positions each academic year. Due to the limited number of slots, high academic achievement is necessary. For more on how to assist your students or Cadets in becoming Army Nurses, visit our Nurse Program homepage.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID - In addition to the Guard and Reserve, we offer many scholarships to defray the costs of attending college. These scholarships include the Georgia Military Scholarship, which is a full-ride scholarship through the Georgia Army National Guard; the Army ROTC Scholarship, which covers tuition and fees or room and board costs; and several Leadership Scholarships which can provide up to an additional $2,000 of financial aid. Click here to find out more about scholarships and financial aid.
NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE WEEKEND - We want your students or Cadets to come visit us. Once a semester we open the campus to juniors and seniors across the nation for National Leadership Challenge Weekend. This is an action-packed event designed to introduce prospective Cadets to the North Georgia Corps of Cadets.
