Non-Traditional Student
If you have not attended high school within the five years before your desired semester of enrollment AND you have earned fewer than 30 semester hours of transferable college credit, you may apply for admission as a non-traditional Cadet. If you earned a GED at least five years prior to your desired semester of enrollment, you are also eligible for admission under this category.
To Apply for Admission:
- Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission with $30 non-refundable fee
- Submit your official high school transcript noting date of graduation or official copy of GED certificate
- Submit your official college transcript(s), if applicable
- Submit your official SAT or ACT scores, if available*
- Non-traditional students who are transferring from a college must also meet our Cadet college (transfer) student admission requirements.
- Document showing lawful presence in the United States if requesting to pay Georgia in-state tuition. Click here for a list of documents that can be used.
- If you not a US citizen or a permanent legal alien, you must complete the International Student Application
*Official SAT or ACT scores are encouraged but not required for admission. Those who do not submit test scores must take a placement exam before registering for classes and may be placed in a learning support program.
Note that if you have been out of college for five years or more prior to the date of your enrollment, you can ask for an academic renewal and start college again from scratch. See our Academic Renewal Policy
